The bamboo porch

A contemporary bamboo shell that amplifies living spaces with invisible technology and natural materials We transformed an unusable veranda, compromised by leaks and thermal discomfort, into a high-performance environment where invisible technology and the naturalness of bamboo come together to create excellent comfort.

THE CHALLENGE:

Restoring an existing but degraded space, permanently eliminating leaks and poor thermal comfort. The challenge was to remedy the critical issues and integrate advanced technologies—controlled mechanical ventilation, high-performance insulation, airtightness—while maintaining visual lightness and permeability with the outside.

OUR RESPONSE:

After resolving the causes of the leaks, we designed a new high-performance bamboo enclosure. The CMV guarantees healthy air and heat recovery, while insulation and airtightness transform the veranda into a comfortable environment all year round, recovering previously unused square meters.

THE CONCEPT

Eliminate pathologies through a high-performance climate filter that maintains dialogue with the outside world. Bamboo defines a warm, natural envelope that conceals the underlying technology, where comfort can be felt but not seen.

TECHNOLOGY AND EFFICIENCY:

Waterproofing and preliminary remediation. CMV with high-efficiency heat recovery unit. Airtight envelope and continuous thermal insulation. High-performance windows and doors. Result: from a degraded space to an environment with almost zero energy requirements.

Design:

Natural light enhances the textures of the materials, while light, modular furnishings optimize the recovered space.
